We are excited to bring our team of SpringML experts to the Snowflake Summit 2023 in Las Vegas on 26-29 June.
We kicked off our time at the Summit on Tuesday with a breakfast conversation led by Ahmed Megahed, our Ecosystem Partner Lead, along with Abby Kai Liu, the Marketing & Growth Analytics Director at CrowdStrike. The event explored impactful use cases on the Snowflake Data Cloud, and it drew an intimate crowd eager to engage, gain insights, and learn practical approaches to using the Snowflake platform.
Attendees shared where they are in their Snowflake journeys, how they use the platform, and where SpringML has helped them achieve their goals. It was a great opportunity for us and the attendees to explore the unique value we provide as a Snowflake ecosystem partner by driving action and impact through data and insights. There was great value in what attendees from various organizations shared about their challenges and how they were working through them to create opportunities. Even though the organizations spanned many different industries, they face similar challenges on their data journeys.
The morning continued with the opening Snowflake Summit keynote, which was full of exciting updates. The buzz around generative AI earned an early mention. As Snowflake CEO Frank Slootman said in the keynote, creating a strong AI strategy requires that an organization first have a strong data strategy. That is where leaders like Snowflake and SpringML are uniquely positioned to drive value for organizations on their data journey to realizing the benefits of AI.
The Snowflake keynote highlighted several advances we are paying close attention to during the Summit and in our ongoing talks with clients:
- Expanding the Snowflake Marketplace: Snowflake is expanding and scaling its marketplace to make it easier for organizations to build and launch Snowflake-native applications. This brings opportunities for even faster innovation with Snowflake.
- Streamlining Iceberg Tables: With the launch of unified Iceberg Tables, Snowflake is simplifying these tables while extending performance and governance within the Data Cloud.
- Launching Document AI: This was a big announcement, with Snowflake now providing a way to extract value from documents – including extracting unstructured data – using natural language processing.
Other keynote highlights include enhanced data governance, expanded compliance, updates to the core engine, and streamlining of the data pipeline. We look forward to continuing to learn more and exploring how we can bring these latest advances on the Snowflake platform to our work with clients.
