Digital River was facing high capital expenses maintaining on-premise data centers and high Oracle licensing costs. As a result, they were looking to modernize infrastructure from a self-managed data center to cloud-native technology in the public cloud. They had two strategic objectives:
- Reduce costs
- Prepare for advanced analytics and machine learning projects
SpringML was responsible for architecting and building a solution to house Digital River’s modern analytics platform on Google Cloud. The architecture we created supports streaming data, historical data migration, security best-practices, and infrastructure as code. Microstrategy was deployed as the new visualization layer for reporting. The entire solution was built to be cost and performance-optimized. This new platform set them up for AI and ML use case adoption using BigQuery as the data backbone.
